Wednesday, 17th September – Neil Wilson Pavillion, Wodonga VIC

KC: Got to Wodonga quite late, but the rest of the tour package had set up the stage and equipment kindly. TGI headline tonight so we spent the late afternoon kicking the footy as no sound check/show prep was needed on our part. Probably the dark horse date of the tour, we have had some great shows in nearby Wangaratta in the past, but the response for all the bands was a lot better than expected for such a cold weeknight in a barn.

A stray dog visited the venue, didn’t pay entry though and someone stole our band iPad, which sucked. So if you’re reading, Liam Neeson has the find-my-iPad app tracking you right now, so maybe just give it back to us yeah?

Thursday, 18th September – Mechanics Hall, Frankston VIC

KC: Fuelled up by everyone’s first LOTF in months en route to Frankston the next day, this show was sold out weeks in advance but we all agree that there was a lot more room for punters in the venue. Fairly relaxed night, great sounding PA. IHW were particularly on point tonight, but the show was overshadowed by Jamie having a footy accident across the street resulting in broken fingers. I’m sorry buddy!

Friday, 19th September – 170 Russell, Melbourne VIC

KC: Melbourne City show at an awesome venue formally known as Billboards, with the worst load-in area this side of the Bermuda Triangle. Great sounding room, absolutely packed crowd who responded well to everyone. The chorus to BT’s opening song stuck in my head all night, dude has some pipes on him eh! We had a good set onwards from the first song, which was marred with some technical problems. Otherwise a really energetic show, notably hard pitting crowd so probably my favourite date so far. Props again to Jamie for pushing through the whole newly-broken-bones barrier. TGI close the show with a longer set showing more new songs. Great night!

Saturday, 20th September – Phoenix Youth Centre, Melbourne VIC

KC: Phoenix Youth Centre in Footscray the following day, a staple venue for AA in Melbourne. Intimate sold out show, so was pretty wild from the get go. IHW kill it again, they have a strong set and cool light show and their new album songs are at fever pitch for the punters every show. Highlights include Mr Niceguy Cupcakes and BT guest crowd surfing during our last song.

I Killed The Prom Queen’s ‘Rise Of Brotality Tour’ hits Adelaide on Friday, 26th September and Perth on the 27th and 28th. See the remaining tour dates below.
