Australian Idol runner-up turned indie superstar Matt Corby has equalled Washington’s record of five consecutive sold-out shows at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel.
In fact, Corby has sold out ALL of his dates on his upcoming tour across Australia in March – which includes multiple shows in Melbourne (5 x The Corner), Sydney (4 x Oxford Art Factory), Brisbane (2 x Alhambra Lounge), Adelaide (2 x Jive bar) and Perth (1 x Amplifier). Supporting Matt on the tour is Sydney group Tin Sparrow.
For those of you who missed out on tickets – there’s a small consolation. Corby will be the special guest on Triple J’s breakfast show on Friday morning – performing an acoustic version of hit single Brother, as well as his take on a surprise track for the show’s popular Like A Version segment.
In addition to all the crazy ticket sales for the tour, Corby’s Into The Flame EP was certified Gold last week after two months on sale.
