Pink Zinc’s Have Curated A Choice Playlist Of Their Top 5 Collabs

Aussie electronic outfit Pink Zinc know a thing or two about a hot collab. Their latest banger, ‘Weapon’, sees them team up with Newcastle singer-songwriter BOI for a shimmering, euphoric dance-pop gem.

To celebrate its release, the pair have curated a playlist of their favourite collabs and shared a little about what makes each track special. Teamwork makes the dream work – have a listen and read all about it below.

Alexis Jordan + deadmau5 – ‘Happiness’

Is it corny? Maybe. Is it cheesy af? Probably. But my goodness does this one slap. Although he didn’t put his name on it, this 2010 throwback banger was actually produced by deadmau5. Those ‘mmm’s are everything.

Alice Ivy + imbi + BOI – ‘Don’t Sleep’

This one is from Alice Ivy’s new album which we bloody love and also features our mate BOI. The production is amazing – it has a little Major Lazer vibes. Plus the vocals are out of this worldddd.

MIA + Diplo – ‘Paper Planes’

Dammmmn we still love this. Probably our go-to anthem if you give us the aux cord at a party after multiple Somersby Pear Ciders. This was actually a collab with Diplo which we only found out recently (and blew our minds).

Kanye West + Elton John + Rhianna + John Legend (and more) – ‘All of the Lights’

We both play in a basketball team and this one is no doubt our hype up song. Fun fact; the piano that comes in at 2:42 is actually played by Elton John (the GOAT). He also sings backing vocals on this.

Wafia + Louis The Child – ‘Better Not’

This one’s a few years old but it’s timeless to us. Wafia absolutely killed this, the sing-along chorus is catchy as hell. And the drop is filthhhy – gets better on every listen.
