PREMIERE: Birds Of Tokyo Unveil Emotional Video For New Single ‘Unbreakable’

Perth rockers Birds Of Tokyo have unveiled a moving music video for their latest single ‘Unbreakable’.

Premiering exclusively on Music Feeds, the clip follows the escapades of a young couple, portrayed by Sophia Natale and Birds Of Tokyo frontman Ian Kenny.

Speaking about the creation of the video, Kenny said, “‘Unbreakable’ was all shot in and around Perth, my home city.

“We’ve never shot in P-town before and I get a wonderful warm sense of nostalgia seeing some of the locations in a new but familiar light.

“I owe a lot of the beauty in the clip to Sophia and her amazing movement and [director] Matt Sav for his direction and freedom to let the story unfold as we shot.

“‘Unbreakable’ is a song for anyone who has gone through the hardest of times and come so close to breaking only to find at the edge we are far stronger than we ever knew.”

‘Unbreakable’ is the first piece of new music from Birds Of Tokyo in over two years, and has also been chosen as the theme song for ABC TV‘s coverage of the 2018 Invictus Games, which features competitors from 18 nations who have been wounded in the armed forces.

Birds Of Tokyo will perform the song live at the official Closing Ceremony on 27th October at Qudos Bank Arena.

The band are currently working towards a new album, which will be the follow-up to 2016’s Brace.
