WAAX Show Us How Much It Really Costs A Young Aussie Band To Tour The Country

It’s no secret that Australia is one of the most expensive countries in the world, a fact that young Aussie bands touring the country, know all too well.

Unlike the US and Europe, where the next million people are just down the road, each major population hub is approximately 1000 kms from the next, so getting around this wide brown land of ours in a short timeframe isn’t cheap.

One such young Aussie outfit, WAAX, did just that recently, and along with their illuminating tour diary (chicken rap squats and all), the Brissie based group also gave us a detailed rundown of costs so you can see exactly what we’re talking about here.

Check out the annotated tour diary in the gallery and see for yourself how much moolah the guys dropped on their quest to bring their crunchy punk tunes to fans around the country, below! WAAX head out on the road once again supporting Ecca Vandal this month, grab all the dates and deets underneath.

From WAAX:

“Being on tour is hard sometimes and you have to find ways to stay entertained. “Let’s document our whole trip with disposable cameras” someone said. So here are the fruits of that endeavor, a bunch of mediocre photos of our shenanigans presented in a digital format anyway. While this sort of renders the whole idea useless, we sure had fun and now have some very happy snaps. Witness us traverse the country the cheapest way possible.”
