Adelaide’s Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! Have Officially Disbanded

Adelaide indie band Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! have told fans that they have officially disbanded, releasing a statement on their official Facebook page after a long period of silence.

In their Facebook post (below), Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! admitted that the announcement was almost not even necessary. “This is probably a bit redundant considering how long we’ve been silent but its worth saying; we’re not a band anymore,” the group told fans.

“We’re all still buds, but decided we’d prefer to pursue our own projects instead of continuing in F!SR,F!” The band, who released the album Sea Priest in 2010, as well as two EPs, have thanked their supporters and revealed that they now focusing on “other projects”.

“Big thanks to our manager Zac Abroms, to our good buddy Luke Morton, to the people who put our stuff out Dot Dash/Remote Control and most importantly to our family, friends and all those that came to our shows and listened to our music,” the band said.

Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! formed in 2006, and were known for producing very detailed pop-infused indie-rock. The band released the single Codebreaker (below) in December 2012, and even had a second album in the works, which will likely never see the light of day.
