Falls Festival has continued its recent tradition of hosting at least one meme act per year, recruiting ‘Africa’ legends Toto as part of its just-announced 2018/2019 lineup.
The American rockers told Music Feeds earlier this year that they hoped to bless the rains down in Australia with a tour in 2019, and now it’s official — they’re coming down under.
Last year, Falls secured Daryl ‘The Horses’ Braithwaite for its 2017/2018 lineup, and this year’s Toto touchdown is getting a huge response online.
And while most people are excited about the possibility of singing “I BLESS THE RAINS DOWN IN AFRICA” as the clock ticks over into 2019, there’s still a general sense of bewilderment…

Toto haven’t toured Australia for over a decade, and while they haven’t announced any Falls Festival sideshows just yet, we’d be pretty surprised if they don’t bless other parts of the country with their huge singalongs.
Aside from Toto, this year’s Falls Festival lineup features the likes of Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, English rockers Catfish And The Bottlemen, Aussie folkster Vance Joy and indie heroes CHVRCHES.
