Alexisonfire Announce 2017 Australian Tour Supports

Just when you thought an Australian tour from the recently-reformed Alexisonfire couldn’t get any better, the Canadian lords of post-hardcore have gone and announced our very own The Getaway Plan and Behind Crimson Eyes as their main tour supports. Capping off the supports will be another local, The Dirty Nil, hot off the heels from the release of their latest album, Higher Power.

The Getaway Plan return (following some down time) to a fanbase that has only swelled in their absence. The band’s most recent output was last year’s Dark Horses, however their 2008 epic Other Voice, Other Rooms would all these years later prove to be quite the subcultural talisman, which is pretty fucking rad considering the band will be performing the album in full at next year’s Unify Gathering.

It’s been along gap between drinks for fans of the forefathers of Australia’s current wave of alternative music Behind Crimson Eyes. A four year gap to be exact. The band will be ending their extended hiatus for the run of dates, dusting off their critically acclaimed back-catalogue in the process.

Fresh from a breather of their own, Alexis will be returning for the first time since, well, their farewell tour. The boys will also be hitting Unify, closing out the final weekend as headliner.

Catch all their upcoming Aussie tour dates, below.
