Veteran American TV series NCIS has had spin-offs in Los Angeles and New Orleans but up until now it’s missed a crucial market – the EDM world of Ibiza.
Parody website Funny Or Die has unveiled a spoof trailer for NCIS: Ibiza featuring EDM’s biggest names committing crimes, other than simply dropping the bass too hard.
Narrated by our very own Alison Wonderland, NCIS: Ibiza depicts the White Isle overrun by crime, including murder, gun possession and generally raving too hard. The legendary Nile Rodgers holds a gun up to a bouncer in a club, Moby plays a spaced-out raver and Steve Aoki fights crime, dock-side.
What So Not brings the trailer to a stirring finale, screaming “Nooooo, Ibiza,” as mad scientist Martin Garrix falls to his death with glow-sticks in his hand.
“Definitely a well-thought out show that’s not just a transparent move to appeal to a young demographic,” Wonderland adds in a disclaimer.
It will either make you wish NCIS explored the dark underbelly of EDM more often or have you dreaming of an escape to Ibiza during the Australian winter. Either way, it’s a good thing. Awards all round.
