Amity Affliction Singer Ahren Stringer Says He’s Got New Solo Music “Coming Real Soon”

The Amity Affliction‘s Ahren Stringer has been cooking up some solo music during his down time. The bassist and clean singer was sidelined from touring last year by his bandmates to focus on his mental health and wellbeing, and briefly rejoined them for their Australian tour in late 2024.

Back in September, Stringer posted on socials updating fans that he would be “taking some much needed annual leave from the band throughout 2025 to focus on [his] continued personal growth”.

“I’m not touring with the band I started”

“Considering my future with the band & spending more quality time with the people I love!” he added. “Rest assured, The Amity Affliction has my full support to continue touring during my absence”.

However, in recent days, the musician seems to have hinted that he has parted ways with the group for good. As well as posting a cryptic update last week, inviting fans to purchase ” the last Amity paintings I’ll ever make” and then responding to one fan who asked if we was leaving the group with the words “wasn’t my choice”, Stringer has now posted a new update on his socials, confirming he remains out, at least for now.

“Hi everyone, as you who follow me know I’m not touring with the band I started ‘the Amity Affliction’,” he wrote. “I asked the band to advertise to y’all that I ain’t gonna be there. Apologies to everyone that was not communicated to by the band. Just wanted to let you know if you’re expecting to see me I won’t be there. Nothing but love x”

Interestingly though, in response to one fan’s comment inquiring about his future, Stringer confirmed that he’s got solo music coming in hot.

“Way better music and it’s all written by me,” he wrote. “Debut album coming real soon, and by soon I mean real soon.”

We’ve still copped no official statement re his apparent departure from The Amity Affliction, but we’ll keep you posted with any updates.
