After a cheeky breather following extensive touring in support of acts like The Love Junkies, Papa Vs Pretty and Davey Lane, Melbourne outfit Apes have announced they’re going to do it all again this November.
Once they’ve washed their smalls, the band will once again be loading up the van and hitting the road for a run of headlining dates throughout the East Coast as well as a spot in Adelaide at the Rocket Bar, in support of their current single Napalm.
It hasn’t taken long for Apes to rapidly ascend the rock mount, mind you, when BBC Radio 1 DJ Phil Taggart earmarks your single Hellova Time as the “Greatest rock ‘n’ roll song written this year. Hands down!” things are most likely going to down well for you.
In the time it’s taken Apes to shoot out just one EP, that being this year’s much-lauded Helluva, Apes have proven themselves a rock & roll force to be reckoned with.
Fans of the band have surely heard rumours of their live show by now. The kind of show that accepts, nay, encourages you to get naked and run on stage and worry about the consequences later. Venue owners should probably put away the fine china.
