Ariana Grande Has Cancelled A Tour Stop After Weeks Of Health Issues

Ariana Grande has been forced to cancel a concert in Lexington, Kentucky in the US after a persistent illness she’s had for a couple of weeks, explaining to fans that she’s in “so much pain.”

In a video posted to her Instagram story, a visibly upset Grande spoke to fans, telling them “I woke up ten times worse and it hurts so bad to swallow. I’m not really sure what’s going on, but I unfortunately don’t think I’ll be able to push through tonight, and I’m so upset and sorry.”

The ‘thank u, next’ singer – who is currently on the road as part of her Sweetener world tour – also opened up about her health troubles in a lengthy note posted to her Instagram story.

“Hi my loves, so I’m still very sick. I’ve been sick since the last London show. I don’t know how it’s possible but my throat and head are still in so much pain. I sound okay I’m just in a lot of pain and it’s difficult to breathe during the show,” Grande wrote.

“I’m on all the meds. Getting IV drips, doing everything I possibly can to pull through. Mum and friends are taking good care of me. just a scary feeling,” she concluded. “Love you with all my heart and will keep you posted.”
