Tonight marks the first of a series of Australian tour dates for Kiwi comedy folk duo Flight of the Concords. If the late announcement of a Perth date and the addition of a second Sydney show weren’t treats enough, the band has unleashed their ace-up-the-sleeve.
Except for a couple of tweets, Arj Barker’s presence in the country was almost unknown until fans present at The Opera House found out moments before he started that Barker will be the supporting act for this show, and the rest on the tour.
It was an amazing surprise for fans who got there on time! You can imagine fans planning on the cheeky late entrance would be face-palming themselves…maybe a bad idea to keep it a secret, but hey, it’s cool nonetheless and a great add-on to the brand after Barker appeared on the band’s own comedy series.
Barker spilled the beans via Twitter a little bit before he was set to go on stage…
