Aurora has announced her return to Australia for a headlining tour, set to take place in February 2025. The four-date run comes in support of her fifth studio album What Happened To The Heart?, which was released back in June. A full run of dates and ticketing information can be found below.
The Norweigan indie-pop singer-songwriter’s return visit is scheduled almost exactly two years on from her previous visit. She toured Australia circa March 2023, performing at that year’s WOMADelaide as well as a headlining show at the Sydney Opera House. Her 2025 dates, part of the fourth leg of her What Happened To The World? tour, are set to be her biggest-ever headlining shows locally – including the 5000-capacity Hordern Pavilion in Sydney and the 7500-capacity Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne.
Aurora – ‘Starvation’
Aurora first visited Australia in early 2017, performing at that year’s Laneway Festival in support of her debut album, 2016’s All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend. While in the country, she appeared on triple j‘s Like A Version segment to cover Massive Attack‘s 1998 signature song ‘Teardrop’. The cover proved to be extremely popular, with it ultimately ranking 54th in last year’s Like A Version Hottest 100.
She returned in 2019 as part of that year’s Groovin The Moo line-up, which also saw her perform a series of headlining shows and return to Like A Version – this time, performing The Beatles‘ ‘Across The Universe’. This also made it into the LAV Hottest 100, ranking 86th.
