Aussie Photographer Nic Bezzina Is Publishing A Book Of Festival Crowd Photos

Australian photographer Nic Bezzina loves the festival crowd. So much so, that he is making a new book of music photography with the lens pointed firmly towards the audience.

“I love photographing music festivals because I feel it’s a place where people can be freed of their inhibitions,” says Bezzina.

Bezzina’s upcoming book Release The Crowd will document that wholly unique festival experience of thousands of people across five countries, and 11 music festivals. These include Australia’s own Big Day Out, Splendour In The Grass, Soundwave and Future Music festivals alongside the UK’s Bloodstock, France’s Hellfest and Germany’s massive metal fest Wacken, to name a few.

The photographer has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise printing funds to make his photographic adventures into a hardbacked keepsake that he hopes will endure the ages and be a timeless reminder of the power of music and popular culture.

Nic Bezzina was born in outback Broken Hill and is now based in Sydney. He has a passion for long-term book projects.

He is aiming for Release The Crowd to drop in November 2015. Support the campaign, here.
