The Avalanches perform on The Sound

Watch The Avalanches Perform ‘Interstellar Love’ From Melbourne Planetarium With Leon Bridges

The Avalanches appeared on ABC’s live music show The Sound over the weekend, where they delivered an appropriately cosmic rendition of their latest single, ‘Interstellar Love’.

The duo played live from Melbourne Planetarium for their appearance, with fog machines and images of space swirling around them, all making for quite the visually stunning performance.

As on the studio version, they were joined by American singer-songwriter Leon Bridges, who performed his part remotely from recording studio Niles City Sound in Texas.

‘Interstellar Love’ arrived late last month, the most recent in a long string of singles the band have shared over the past year. It’s all leading up to their third studio album, We Will Always Love You, which is set to drop Friday, 11th December.

The record, which will follow the electronic group’s 2016 comeback album Wildflower, is set to be a hugely collaborative release. Denzel CurryBlood Orange, Jamie xx, Neneh Cherry and Sampa the Great are just a few of the names that appear on We Will Always Love You‘s star-studded tracklist.
