TMZ is reporting that Crowe was having a small party for 10 people at a Beverley Hills hotel and one of the guests was rapper RZA who brought Banks along as his guest.
Banks has recently signed to RZA’s record label and also stars in a forthcoming film directed by RZA Coco.
Things reportedly turned sour when Banks mocked his music taste and called Crowe and one other guest “boring white men.”
A woman defended Crowe before Banks threatened to stab both of them in the throat with a broken glass. Banks then reached for her glass before Crowe picked her up in a bear hug and took her out of the suite. She was then removed from the premises by security.
This is a different series of events to what Banks later claimed on her Facebook page in a series of now deleted posts.
Metro reports that Banks wrote, “To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell crowe’s suite, at which he called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me.”
“Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time.”
“The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today.”
A further post read, “Just feel so low and mishandled and alone and fucking depressed right now. I wish I had someone to beat him up for me.”
TMZ claims that four of the guests at the party described Banks’ behaviour as “erratic” while RZA reportedly admitted Crowe did not use the word ‘n****r’.
