Azealia Banks Hands Over Twitter Account

Azealia Banks has XTL for the last time, giving up the password to her often controversial, at times inflammatory, Twitter account. According to E Online, Banks posted a tweet, since deleted, that revealed her days of unchecked “twitter terror” have come to a close:

“My days of twitter terror are about to be over. I have to turn over my password.”

Although Banks made no mention of whom she turned her Twitter password over to, multiple reports have speculated that Banks’ label, Interscope, has taken the reigns. It appears that any tweets posted by Banks prior to the 15th April, 2013 have been removed.

Banks repeatedly used her Twitter account to attack other musical acts and public figures, with her Twitter feuds often overshadowing the Young Rapunxel rapper’s music. Among those who have suffered the 140-character wrath of Banks include Nikki Minaj, Angel Haze, Perez Hilton, Baauer, Rita Ora, The Stone Roses, and A$AP Rocky.

However, Banks hasn’t been completely stifled. By the looks of one or two tweets recently posted on Banks’ account, whomever is monitoring the emerging artist’s Twitter account is still allowing some latitude, for better or worse.
