Everyone’s favourite regional spectacular, Groovin The Moo, is heading back for 2014 and we’ve just had the first act self-confirm for the festival calendar highlight, with Perth’s beloved sons Karnivool announcing that they’re on the GTM lineup.
Ian Kenny and Drew Goddard from the band let the cat out of the bag on triple j while chatting with Lindsay “The Doctor” McDougall, stating “we have Groovin The Moo festival coming up, then midyear we’re in Europe.” You can hear the statement at around the 13:45 minute mark of the interview here.
After the interview aired yesterday, The Doctor posted the recording on his blog but curiously failed to mention the highly newsworthy information, nor was it reported by triple j’s music news team.
However, the festival have now confirmed the good news for themselves, taking to Instagram to post a picture of a feline and a brown paper receptacle, along with “Looks like the cat’s out of the bag = @karnivool_official will be playing #GTM2014”.
Groovin The Moo is scheduled to drop their lineup on Wednesday, 29th January, with the 2014 edition expanding to include their first-ever South Australian show in Oakbank on Friday, 25th April.
