BASSINTHEGRASS Festival 2019 Lineup Announced & It’s Stacked With Your Faves

BASSINTHEGRASS’ 17th annual event is set to kick off on Darwin’s Mindil Beach in May this year and the NT festival has today announced its stacked 2019 lineup.

Festival faves Hilltop Hoods will be headlining events, no doubt armed with a bunch of mew material as the crew are set to release their new album The Great Expanse later this month.

“BASSINTHEGRASS is always a highlight of our touring schedule,” says MC Suffa. “it’s one of the reasons we keep coming back to Darwin and we can’t wait to check out the new Mindil Beach venue.”

Joining the Hoods will be a powerhouse of antipodean talent including the likes of Amy Shark, Ball Park Music, Broods, DZ Deathrays, Karnivool, Mallrat, Nick Murphy FKA Chet Faker, PNAU, Ruel and more.

The festival will also include performances from local artists and the winner of Battle of the School Bands.

BASSINTHEGRASS has moved venues for 2019 to double their capacity readying for a huge festival, the Northern Territory’s biggest ever.

“We’re excited to make 2019 the biggest ever BASSINTHEGRASS and the largest music festival ever held in the Territory,” says Northern Territory Major Events Company General Manager, Tim Watsford. “We are able to offer festival goers double the acts and an experience that goes beyond the music with a backdrop unlike anywhere else in Australia.”
