Beachlife Lineup Adds More Names For 2014 Launch

The inaugural Beachlife was looking too good to be true as it was, but the early 2014 Surfer’s Paradise event has now got even…gooder to be true, with the addition of more acts to the multi-day event.

Joining the previously announced international heavyweights will be a run of high-profile supporting talent. Kicking off on Saturday, 4th January, Beachlife 2014 will now boast performances from US beatmaker Alvin Risk, our very own What So Not and UK EDM duo Jack Beats. The Saturday will be capped off with a headlining set from Skrillex.

Sunday, 5th January will be all about the hip hop, with Ta-Ku now placed in the opening slot followed by the constantly shape-shifting Hermitude before the torch is handed to main attractions Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky.

More acts are expected to be announced for both days of the festival in the near future.

Promoter Billy Cross speaks confidently of the event’s debut, confirming that it’s likely to pull around 20,000 punters and bring a much-needed shot in the arm to the local economy.

Tickets are on sale now through the official website, priced at $89. A crew of 12 lifeguards, 40 police officers and 120 security guards are expected to be patrolling the day.
