Australia get ready to add another urban music festival to your calendars with a new event by the name of Hype set to make its inaugural appearance this November thanks to UAE Presents Artist Manager and Supafest founder John Denison,
No longer a part of Supafest, Denison plans to reveal the line-up for the very first Hype Festival following this year’s Movement Festival and Supafest, according to Faster Louder.
Currently the only information on Hype 2013’s line-up comes from a vague Denison tweet (embedded below), which promises one legend, one international act to make their Australian debut, and 3 very, very cool acts.
Hopefully Hype won’t suffer from the plague that seems to infect hip hop festivals in Australia. Movement Festival has lost headliner 2 Chainz and Angel Haze while also moving to all indoor venues.
Supafest 2012 was marred by multiple cancellations and hit with a lawsuit worth almost $2 million. And of course lest we forget the drama that was Heatwave 2012.
@samrawitbrown all I can say one has never been here before, one is a legend, and the other 3 are very very cool!
