After two quiet years, the New South Wales village of Berry is once again set to become a hive of musical activity, with the Fairgrounds Festival announcing its triumphant return in 2022. The Fairgrounds Festival will be held on Friday, 25th November and Saturday, 26th November.
The return announcement was made on social media this morning, having teased the arrival of some “good news” yesterday (4th July). Promoters of Fairgrounds Festival also said the first lineup announcement is set to arrive in August.

Berry’s Fairgrounds Festival spent the last two years on the sidelines, having been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and its related restrictions. Fairgrounds’ last successful event took place in late 2019, with massive names such as Liam Gallagher, DMA’S, The Lemonheads, Nilüfer Yanya, Dope Lemon, Meg Mac, and more.
Plans to follow up in 2020 were halted, with the festival announcing late in the year that “due to ongoing event restrictions”, it would have to take the year off. The cancellation was repeated in mid-2021, with organisers noting that “due to the uncertainties of COVID”, it wouldn’t be returning that year either.
“Yet make no mistake, we will be back,” organisers said at the time. “We’re still here, planning and dreaming, in the hope that 2022 can be the year that Fairgrounds can return to beautiful Berry.”
Organisers haven’t revealed any further details in regards to their 2022 event as yet, though punters are urged to sign up to the festival’s mailing list via their website for early access to any info.
