Big Day Out 2014 Lineup Announcement

The time has come for the 2014 Big Day Out line up, with a slew of local and international artists set for an absolutely massive first announcement. BDO have told us they’ve pulled out all the stops for their 2014 roster, and we’ll get the whole scoop in just a few minutes time.

Just this evening, Portland’s Portugal. The Man confirmed their appearance on the 2014 iteration of the touring festival. The full lineup announcement will be on this page at 8pm tonight, so until then sit tight, check out all our coverage and keep mashing that refresh button!

Music lovers nationwide have been champing at the bit for any news regarding the festival, no doubt whipped into a frenzy by the festival’s own proclamation that this would be the “Big Day Out lineup to end all Big Day Out lineups”.

As always, Big Day Out will attempt to cater to all musical tastes, with big bands on both the main stages as well as the increasingly popular Boiler Room. Since it was revealed Big Day Out Sydney would once again host two days of festival fun this summer, it was expected that next year’s BDO lineup would be one for the history books.

Tickets have been priced at $185 + bf, a $20 increase on last year, but with a lineup like this the price bump is more than worth it. Presales begin tomorrow, Thursday, 1st August, via General Pants Co stores, with Big Day Out member presales set to be unleashed on Friday, 2nd August. Make sure you register for those memberships, which will also give you access to exclusive competitions and other offers, by heading to the official Big Day Out website.
