Billy Corgan Announces Australian Screening Of New Album Film ‘Pillbox’

William Patrick Corgan is going from Smashing Pumpkins to smashing box offices, thanks to the release of his brand new film Pillbox.

The movie is soundtracked by Billy’s Rick Rubin-produced and James Iha-featuring new solo record Ogilala, and he’s just announced a one-off exclusive Australian screening of the whole thing.

The Aussie premiere will go down at Sydney’s Golden Age Cinema next Friday, 27th October from 5:30pm.

Inspired by a hero’s journey, Pillbox was written and directed by Corgan himself, alongside longtime collaborator Linda Strawberry.

“I thought it was a different approach to listening to an album, to watch it in essence with a related, albeit non-linear, silent movie,” the Pumpkinhead says of the flick. “Art is art. And together the two pieces create a work unto itself.”

Tickets to the intimate screening are super limited, and all fans who attend will also score a limited edition movie poster for their troubles.
