Bluesfest Announce Rescheduled The Marcus King Band Headline Shows

South Carolina’s The Marcus King Band were initially slated for the 2020 Bluesfest lineup, but like most events last year, it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Bluesfest organisers worked to get the festival ready for a 2021 slot, they announced the next lineup would be entirely Australian.

Now, they’re announcing new dates for those international acts that lost their spots.

The Marcus King Band will now visit Australia in April 2022. They’ll perform at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on the 18th April and Melbourne’s Croxton Bandroom on the 20th.

Previously purchased tickets will still be valid. Sharing the news via Instagram, the band also announced that their New Zealand shows are now cancelled.

“Unfortunately, we’re unable to make it to New Zealand now, and those tickets will be refunded.”

You can find the dates and ticket info, and have a listen to ‘Goodbye Carolina’ below.

The updated Bluesfest lineup is mammoth. It features Kate Miller-Heidke, Briggs, The Living End, Tash Sultana, and more. Find the full lineup here.
