Bono And The Edge Bring A Pop Up U2 Performance To Ukranian Subway Station

In an act of solidarity with the people of Ukraine, Bono and The Edge have performed a concert in Kyiv.

The two musicians brought a 40 minute U2 pop up gig to a subway station for a crowd of up to 100.

During the set, Bono praised the Ukrainian people for their resilience as their fight against Russia for their freedom.

“Your president leads the world in the cause of freedom right now,” Bono said to the crowd.

“The people of Ukraine are not just fighting for your own freedom, you’re fighting for all of us who love freedom.”

“We pray that you will enjoy some of that peace soon.”
