Caligula’s Horse Announce Australian Tour Dates

Homeground peddlers of prog Caligula’s Horse have announced they will be hitting the road for one final outing before emerging themselves in studio hibernation. The tour follows on from April’s Turntail run, which featured a run of sold out dates.

The band will kick off the run in Brisbane on November 4th before moving on to stages in Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Newcastle and Sydney.

The shows will be the last from the band for the year, and will be used as an excuse to get the hell out of the studio, stretch out the legs, and road test some of the jams they’ve been forging from their progressive sensibilities.

While they do that, we can look to their previous effort, Bloom, which they released just last year. The album was a worthy entrant into the annuls of Australian heavy music. A complex, multifaceted release, landing in the Top 20 on the ARIA Charts upon debut strongly suggesting that thoughtful, intelligent music is still in demand.

Now armed with a new drummer, Josh Griffin, in place of long-time drummer Geoff Irish, the band are in fine form to show you what they’ve been up to.
