Captain Kickarse & The Awesomes release new single, tour with Ruins-alone

Known for their intense live show and faultless musicianship, Captain Kickarse & The Awesome have been pushing the limits of physics with their music for years now. Having been handpicked to support Japanese avant garde musician Tatsuya Yoshida aka Ruins-alone, the band are releasing a single in commemoration of the tour in the form of Doubletank, taken from their latest EP Falsimiles from the Facts Machine.

Released by local prog label/promotions company/freak brigade Bird’s Robe Collective, the single showcases the band’s frenzied take on complex time signatures, following a very groove oriented song structure and featuring a rather ridiculous performance from drummer Alex O’Toole, so perfectly suited to accompany the tour with Yoshida. A driving force in the Japanese avant garde music, is a living legend. A beast when it comes to his chosen instrument, the drums, which he plays with an inhuman ability seemingly possessed.
