Cardi B Announces New Single ‘Up’

Cardi B has announced via social media that her new single ‘UP’ — the hugely anticipated follow up to 2020’s ‘WAP’ — is landing this Friday.

Sharing the new single’s artwork, the rapper tweeted, “My new single “UP” drops this Friday! LETS GOOOOOO!”

Let’s go indeed.

‘Up’ will follow up last year’s collab with Megan Thee Stallion, ‘WAP’, which was released in August.

‘WAP’ was obviously massive. It made ARIA chart history, came in at #6 in the Hottest 100, and was one of the biggest moments of the most batshit year.

The song wasn’t submitted for consideration in the 2021 Grammy Awards. Pitchfork reports it will be submitted as part of Cardi B’s forthcoming album.

Cardi B is yet to drop any deets on a new album at this stage.

As well as ‘WAP’, Cardi B featured on Anitta’s ‘Me Gusta’ and BLACKPINK’s ‘Bet You Wanna’ last year.

Listen to ‘WAP’ below, for old times’ sake.
