Chance The Rapper Wants You To Help Him Get Played On Triple J

Chance The Rapper has launched an app that makes it easy to request his singles on local radio, and he’s hoping you’ll help him score some airtime on triple j.

The web app, called Rapper Radio, aims to bring independent artists to the airwaves by automatically creating tweets directed at the local radio stations in various areas.

For all Australian cities, a tweet is automatically constructed for triple j, and you can choose between requesting Chance’s songs No Problems and Summer Friends.

“I want you to share my music in whatever city you’re in with as many people as possible. The radio is like a huge listening party for people of all demographics to get in tune. In those moments it’s mad ppl in harmony,” Chance says.

“This will require your twitter and will take place over the next few weeks. It has phases so I’ll keep tweaking it but let’s take over!”

With three albums to his name now, Chance is 100 per cent independent, and hasn’t asked for a dollar for any of his releases.

He’s promised that he’s going to do something special in the city with the most requests too, so it would be great if Australia could claim that title given he’s set to be here over New Year’s Eve for Beyond The Valley and Origin NYE festivals.
