Chet Faker Announces Headline Australian Tour Aug/Sept, 2012

The bearded man from Melbourne Nick Murphy, better known by his musical alias Chet Faker, is set to embark upon his very own national headlining tour over the coming months of April and September. Murphy continues to amass a wealth of fans behind Chet Faker’s 2012 EP Thinking In Textures.

The 7-tracker is an enticing mixture of folk sensibilities and electro sounds that has already spawned three intoxicating singles: a cover of Blackstreet’s No Diggity, Terms and Conditions (music video below) and most recently I’m Into You, which triple j has embraced on heavy rotation.

Now Murphy has lifted Love and Feeling from Thinking in Textures and is hitting the road to promote the new single. Chet Faker has already wowed audiences throughout 2012, playing an intimate and moving gig at Sydney’s Goodgod Small Club in April and impressively opening up for The Temper Trap at Vivid LIVE in June.

Music Feeds caught up with Chet Faker back in April. During the chat, the emerging Murphy spoke about the tests and trials of blending folk and electro, and the work ethic required to be a successfully recognised musician.

Chet Faker promises to be an amazing show – be sure to grab your ticket!
