Christina Aguilera Is Celebrating 20 Years Of Her Debut Album With Three Special Releases

Your fave pop queen, Christina Aguilera is celebrating 20 years of her self-titled, debut album this month.

Christina Aguilera was her first album and featured hits like: ‘Genie in a Bottle’, ‘Come On Over (All I Want Is You), and ‘What a Girl Wants’.

As part of the celebration she’s rolling out three special releases on Friday, 23rd August. Which is the day before the official Christina Aguilera anniversary. She shared the news with fans via Twitter.

Tweeting, “This month marks 20 years since my debut album, Christina Aguilera, was released! In its honor, I’m releasing xxtra special versions digitally & at my store..and more surprises…on Aug 23rd! Presale begins today. Share memories with #xxtina; I will too!”

The digital release will feature both the original album’s tracks as well as some rarer versions — along with remixes and a cappella tunes that aren’t currently available to stream.

Christina Aguilera will be available in special collector’s bundles too. They’ll be coming with stuff like picture disc vinyls, autographed and numbered, with a Certificate of Authenticity, a collectible cassette, and a digital download. Not to mention the selection of retro Christina merch.

Urban Outfitters are getting in on the anniversary too. They’ll be stocking an exclusive, limited edition, original Christina Aguilera pressed on “Genie Fiery Orange Vinyl”.

Xtina was 18-years-old when her self-titled was released. It debuted #1 on the Billboard 200 and all four singles earned Top 10 chart spot. The next year, she won Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards.
