Scottish electro-pop phenomenon CHVRCHES have announced plans to perform in Australia for the first time ever. Even though they’ve only been on the scene for a short time, the trio has caused a massive fuss with a year that’s already consisted of tours through out US and Europe.
It was the group’s maiden single Lies that succeeded in stealing the attention of NY-based tastemaker Neon Gold who pumped the track and from there it spread like wildfire. From there, CHVRCHES has received the nod of approval from Pitchfork and just about every other style-governing body.
The shows are sure to be pretty intense given their current track record – already the band have practiced their live art with the likes of Passion Pit and Two Door Cinema Club. Big favorites for festivals, you better catch the band at the below club shows before they reach the bigger stages.
Oh, and look at those dates and venues. We’re just gonna come right out and say it – these guys are perfectly placed for a Splendour appearance.

Melbourne electro outfit City Calm Down have just been announced as the support for all 3 shows. If you’re yet to encounter these purveyors of dark pop, get your hands on their 2012 EP Movements and get ready for an impressive mix of haunting vocal melodies, grimy synth sounds and charging bass lines.
