Cloud Control Loses Founding Member

Cloud Control bassist and founding member Jeremy Kelshaw has quit the band. After making an on-stage announcement at Falls Festival Lorne earlier in the week, Kelshaw has taken to Facebook today to officially announce his departure and “return to civilian life” after 10 years with the group.

In the message, he thanks current bandmates Alister Wright, Heidi Lenffer and Ulrich Lenffer, and pledges his love for the band and “everyone who has worked with us, played with us, come to a show or listened to our music”. During their Falls appearance, the band said Kelshaw was departing to spend more time with his family.

Kelshaw has reassured fans that Cloud Control are hard at work on their new album, the band’s third following Coopers AMP-winning debut Bliss Release (2010) and last year’s J Award-nominated Dream Cave. Cloud Control has just finished a run of shows at Falls Festival, making this weekend’s appearance at WA’s sold-out Southbound festival their last with Kelshaw.
