Cloud Control Announce ‘Bliss Release’ Anniversary Tour For Mid-2025

Cloud Control have officially reformed for a run of theatre dates set for May and June 2025, commemorating the 15-year anniversary of their 2010 debut album Bliss Release. Not only will these shows mark the first Cloud Control performances since 2018, they will also be the first to feature the band’s original line-up since 2015. The full list of dates and ticketing information can be found below.

In addition to the new shows, the band will also be reissuing the album on vinyl, marking the first time it has been pressed on wax in their native Australia. The album will be sustainably pressed on both bio-vinyl and recycled vinyl, in black and multi-colour respectively, in accordance with keyboardist Heidi Lenffer’s ongoing work with the climate-conscious music initiative FEAT. The tour itself, too, will be part of FEAT’s ‘Solar Slice’ initiative – with a dollar from every ticket sale going to a regenerative program on the north island of Tasmania.

Cloud Control – ‘Gold Canary’

Bliss Release is the album that cracked the world open for our band,” said Cloud Control in a joint press statement. “We love what we created with this record. It’s a time capsule and a friend. If it also means something to you, we want to share the love collectively with everyone who wants to lean in with us.” The band also shared their excitement at having original bassist Jeremy Kelshaw back on board, who exited the fold in 2015 to focus on his home and family life.

“Making music with mates and family has always been the heart of what we’re about,” they wrote, “and having the chance to perform these songs again with our brother Jez back on board is so special.” Kelshaw, for his part, offered the following: “Making music with friends remains a mysterious and intoxicating pleasure. May we all find our reasons to be human, and remember: love is the best.”

Bliss Release was originally released in May 2010. It peaked at number 20 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and was nominated for several awards – including the ARIA Award for Breakthrough Artist Of The Year and the J Award for Australian Album Of The Year (although they lost to Washington and Tame Impala, respectively). It won two AIR Awards, for Breakthrough Independent Artist and Best Independent Album, and was also the recipient of that year’s Australian Music Prize.
