Coachella 2012 Will Be Held Over Two Weekends

Next year’s Coachella will be held over two weekends next according to the festival organisers. The aim is to produce two identical festival weekends. The same line up, same art, same place.

With this year’s line up boasting the likes of Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, Lauryn Hill, PJ Harvey, Death From Above 1979, Duran Duran and Odd Future, as well as Aussie bands Cut Copy, Tame Impala and The Presets, the event managed to sell out in no time and a lot of people missed out.

Having the a second weekend gives everybody another chance to experience this unique festival (or give people another opportunity to see the bands they missed the first weekend). But without a line up confirmed, it’ll be interesting to see if they can convince artists to work their tour schedules around spending another week in the California desert.

If you’re awesome enough to travel over there next year for a weekend (or two) pre-sale tickets are online at http://www.coachella.com on Friday 3rd of June.
