Are COG About To Announce Their Comeback?

Sooooooooo divineeeeeeee, bird of featherrrrrrrrrr!

Aussies have been existing for almost six years now in a bleak and COG-less world, void of any new music from the powerhouse Bondi Beach prog rock trio.

But could that be about to change?

COG’s official Facebook page has just seen a random burst of activity over the weekend, after lying dormant for almost three years.

The band have updated their profile picture and cover photo, plus added a whole bunch of new photo galleries featuring a selection of memories from their years spent on tour, as well as old tour posters and stage passes.

It’s prompted hundreds of fans to raid the comments sections of the posts, speculating that the COG could be in motion, once again.

So are Luke Gower, Lucius Borich, Flynn Gower building up to some kind of new announcement? Or are they just getting nostalgic and giving their mouldering social media accounts some much-needed TLC?

The band hung up their guitars back in 2010 after releasing three albums since their 1998 formation, including J Award-nominated The New Normal.

The latest update from their official website states: “In the present moment Cog remain on hiatus taking a well deserved break…Stand by!”

We’ll be doing just that, lads. Don’t keep us waiting too long.

UPDATE 10/02/16: Not only are the Sydney prog-rockers returning from hiatus for a run of shows, mere hours after announcing the shows they had a completely SOLD OUT tour on their hands. Thankfully, they’ve announced a bunch of extra shows. See the updated tour dates below.

UPDATE 23/02/16: After all their east coast shows sold out AGAIN, COG have announced two more shows! See the updated dates below.
