Los Angeles four-piece Cold War Kids will mark their return to Australian shores for the upcoming Falls and Southbound Festivals with an extra two headlining sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne in January 2015.
Once they’re done with their festival slots, the indie-rockers will head to Melbourne’s Hi-Fi on Monday, 5th January and follow up that performance the following evening at the Hi-Fi’s sister Sydney venue.
Last in the country for Splendour in 2013, the band are currently gearing up for the release of their fifth studio album Hold My Home, which was was produced by guitarist Dan Gallucci and Lars Stalfors (Mars Volta, Matt and Kim) at the band’s own studio in San Jose, California. The album will follow-up to 2013’s Dear Miss Lonelyhearts.
Falls kicks off in Lorne on Sunday, 28th December this year before moving on to Marion Bay and Byron Bay. Festival organisers have announced that the Byron Bay event has joined Lorne in achieving sold-out status. Tickets to Marion Bay are currently available.
