Coldplay Announce Live Stream Concert On TikTok For Red Nose Day

Coldplay are the latest band to circumvent the pandemic’s global touring cockblock by announcing a live streamed concert event.

Theirs, however, has a point of difference in that it’s taking place on TikTok, marking the band’s first ever concert to be streamed on the platform.

It’ll also raise funds for Red Nose Day, the global initiative aimed at ending child poverty.

“Red Nose Day does amazing things around the world to keep children safe, healthy, educated and empowered,” Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said in a statement (via Billboard).

“We’re really happy to be able to support their work with this performance.”

The event takes place on Monday, May 24th at 2pm ET, which unfortunately for Australians equates to 4am AEST on Tuesday, May 25th (so set your alarms!)

ICYMI Chris Martin & co are also headlining this year’s Glastonbury Festival livestream event ‘Live At Worthy Farm’ (peep the set times here).

It comes after they dropped a brand new song on our butts, in the form of an intergalactic synth-pop gem dubbed ‘Higher Power’. Listen below.
