Brisbane four-piece, Concrete Surfers have shared their new single ‘Driving’ today. It comes with an absolutely unhinged, yet quintessentially Brisbane music video.
The song itself is an alt-rock delight. The floaty yet full-of-grit vocals and jangly guitars meld together amazingly while the neat percussions tie the song together.
On ‘Driving’, vocalist, Jovi says, “The song is basically about finding solace doing a certain thing when life is throwing you some curveballs.
“In this instance I found comfort in driving as I had gotten my license and my first car from my instructor (1990 Camry wagon was the bees knees. I think about that old beast every day) and it just gave me the ability to go anywhere which is what I needed at the time!”
The accompanying video is directed by Max Beech and filmed by Matisse Langbein.
It follows the band cycling and driving around Brisbane while they get up to shenanigans.
The band’s tour kicks off next Sunday, 2nd May in Brisbane too. Catch the dates down below.
