Cub Sport Shine With Release Of New Single, ‘Always Got The Love’

Cub Sport are in a gorgeous new era, and we love it for them.

The Brisbane group has released a new track in ‘Always Got The Love’, dropping this week with a music video that matches the strength of the track. What has been great about the evolution of Cub Sport in recent years, is how each member of the group has really revelled in the euphoria that comes with celebrating their individuality, their love and their craft.

‘Always Got The Love’, produced by KLLO’s Simon Lam and mixed by Andrew Dawson (Kanye West, Childish Gambino), is a bright and striking track in general. But then when you pair it with the tight sonic dynamic that has come from Cub Sport’s years of performing together and the natural way they can read each other musically?

It’s a winner.

Watch the music video for ‘Always Got The Love’, below:

“I‘ve always felt like the songs that people can cry to are important but I think being able to celebrate and move is equally important and that’s kind of where I’m at right now. I wanna make music that makes people feel uplifted.” says Tim Nelson of the new single.

“When we finally got to play shows in support of Like Nirvana (2020 Album Release), I was reckoning with all of this pain as I was revelling in the freedom of even being able to do that. I knew I wanted to make music that aligned with that emotional purity but make it feel and sound like a celebration. The result is a song that captures a moment of pure rapture, transmuting a golden moment in 2021 — a stop on a road trip at a heavenly beach — into dance floor euphoria.”
