Daft Punk Currently Filming New Music Video With Nabil

Daft Punk is currently filming a new music video under the watchful eye of director Nabil Elderkin. Posting an image of a light (included below) on his Instagram account, Elderkin notes the picture is from a Daft Punk shoot and describes the duo as a couple of ‘cool robots’.

Unfortunately Elderkin doesn’t offer up any information as to which song from Daft Punk’s upcoming album, Random Access Memory, the shoot is for. No stranger to directing music videos for some of the world’s biggest acts, Elderkin has previously worked with the likes of Foals (on the bloody and brilliant Late Night), Frank Ocean (Pyramids) and numerous clips for Kanye ‘Jesus King Cole’ West.

Recently the guest artist list for Random Access Memory was leaked and from the looks of it Daft Punk enlisted some of the world’s most skilful musicians and producers, with notable names include Julian Casablancas and Pharrell Williams (N.E.R.D).

Yesterday news broke that Sony plans to hold an album launch for Random Access Memory in the regional NSW town of Wee Waa – could another swanky new California-tinged disco tune be shot amongst the cotton?
