Daft Punk are currently talking with funk guitarist and legendary producer Nile Rodgers about helping them work on their new album. Rodgers, who has worked previously with the likes of Madonna and David Bowie, spoke about the discussion in a recent interview.
He told The Culture Map, “Those guys are great. They’re coming to my apartment on Monday and we’re going to talk about making a new record together.” He also reveals that he has beaten an aggressive form of cancer, after being diagnosed early last year.
Last we got a taste of some new (or old) Daft Punk material was when Soma Records uncovered an old demo tape that was sent to them in 1994. The song named Drive was released on the label’s 20-year compilation album.
