Daughter To Play In Churches For Laneway 2014 Sideshows

London trio Daughter are returning to our shores for Laneway Festival next February and they’re also the latest band to join the Heavenly Sounds bandwagon, which sees artists getting their gig on in churches and cathedrals.

The series has been having some great success, with 2013 seeing sold out tours from Laura Marling, Seeker Lover Keeper, Kate Miller-Heidke and Lisa Mitchell. Now Daughter are set to follow in their footsteps, today announcing a sideshow at St Stephen’s Uniting Church in Sydney, to be followed by a Melbourne installment at St Michael’s Uniting Church.

Daughter are live favourites in Australia, with the English indie rockers having only just graced us with their presence for a stand-out set at Splendour In The Grass back in July. They’ve romanced audiences at Glastonbury and charmed with their debut long play If You Leave and killer singles Human and Youth.

Tickets for these very special all ages shows are available via a presale for members of the Heavenly Sounds mailing list from Monday, 28th October – sign up at their website. General public sales kick off through Ticketek on Thursday, 31st October.

Keep up to date with all the sideshows on our Laneway 2014 Sideshows Feed!
