Dear Aussie Artists, Applications To Showcase At BIGSOUND 2024 Are Now Open

Aussie artists, it’s time to gather up your press wins, streaming stats and live music achievements and get ready to sit down at a computer for a few hours to brag about them all, because applications to showcase at industry launchpad BIGSOUND in 2024 are now officially open.

The biggest music industry conference in the southern hemisphere will be making its return to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley this year for the 23rd time, drawing thousands of music industry heavyweights from all around the world for four stacked days and nights of live music, talks, panels, speeches and more, running from Tuesday, 3rd September – Friday, 6th September.

Last year more than 180 artists presented their wares at BIGSOUND, including Bec StevensMoaning LisaSTUMPS and more. Looking further back, big hitters such as Tash SultanaGang of Youths, and The Jungle Giants have all made BIGSOUND appearances.

“We are calling for diverse acts of all genres, signed and unsigned, emerging and established – BIGSOUND’s role is to create opportunities for artists, so if you’re ready to play in front of industry reps from all over the world, we urge you to apply,” QMusic and BIGSOUND CEO Kris Stewart said today in a press statement.

“We are thrilled to welcome Casey O’Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne to the team. The title of BIGSOUND Music Programmer requires a level of knowledge and connection to the Australian and global music industry uniquely found in their three decades of combined experience,” Stewart continued.

“They have helped forge the careers of an incredible number of artists and now step into the formidable task of scouring thousands of showcase applications, to ultimately help shape the landscape of Australian music, both here and abroad.”

With a long history of platforming some of the brightest names in music, BIGSOUND offers artists the opportunity to perform in front of industry reps from all over the world, plus thousands of music lovers who flock to Fortitude Valley for the event each year.
