Death Cab For Cutie Slam “Disgusting” Donald Trump With New Song ‘Million Dollar Loan’

So far, Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump has been able to weather just about any storm he’s kicked up, but whether or not he can keep his popularity in the polls after a direct attack from Death Cab For Cutie, who have just released a new song called Million Dollar Loan.

Million Dollar Loan (below) is an absolute trojan horse. Disguised as a delicate, softly-spoken acoustic offering, the song is actually loaded with explosive material — lines such as “nobody makes it on their own, every ascension to the throne starts with a million dollar loan” populate the whole track. And, Trojan horses are known for their ability to ruin empires.

In a statement posted to Facebook, the band say the track was inspired by a specific and infuriating moment in Trump’s campaign, when in an attempt to appear as a ‘self-made man’ he mentioned a small, no-big-deal, $1 million dollar loan his father supposedly gave him.

“Not only has this statement been proven to be wildly untrue, he was so flippant about it,” says Death Cab.

“It truly disgusted me. Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unworthy of the honor and responsibility of being President of the United States of America, and in no way, shape or form represents what this country truly stands for. He is beneath us.”

Million Dollar Loan is part of the 30 Days, 30 Songs project, which will feature one song per day from now up until the US Election Day in November. It will reportedly include songs by the likes of Jim James, Aimee Mann, Thao Nguyen, clipping., Bhi Bhiman and R.E.M..

Trump has recently been called out by other music acts like The White Stripes, Green Day and Peter Garrett.
