Deftones Australian Tour Dates 2013

Having conquered 2012 with the release of their out-of-control new album Koi No Yokan, the simply unstoppable Deftones have announced Australian tour dates for next year, bringing with them fellow Soundwave champs Letlive.

That said, it’s hard to pick a year in recent history that Deftones didn’t conquer. Having built a career on their shapeshifting abilities, the band have weathered storms the majority of their peers didn’t stand a chance in. Koi No Yokan is an album testament to the band’s time-tested hard-out brutal skills, and a clear message that the Deftones are not going anywhere.

Letlive managed to get onto the bill for Soundwave 2012 under most people’s radar. That didn’t last long, however, as the band immediately became crowd favourites. You can imagine hundreds of kids leaving that day with intent to sink their teeth into the band’s back catalogue. The rest of the world seem to have a similar attitude to the rising stars, whose latest release Fake History gave the genre a much needed shot in the arm.

Tickets for this particular hootenanny will hit the market Thursday, 13th December. I suggest that you get in early.
