Did Kanye West Just Call Out Drake For Copying His Floating Stage?

Kanye West‘s Saint Pablo tour has been nothing if not eventful. Across his mammoth run of dates he’s already knocked a punter who climbed his floating stage back to earth, used his Nashville show to overtly diss Taylor Swift, and now at a show in Edmonton, Canada he may have just served a zinger to his alleged ‘mate’ Drake.

In the middle of smashing out one of several freestyle raps throughout the Edmonton show this week, West stopped the music and began to express his annoyance at people who’ve been copying the design of his floating stage, describing himself in true Yeezy fashion as “the rap God”.

“This the original. Accept no imitations,” he says. “You with the rap God right now.

“Niggas be copying my shit bro,” he adds. “Stealin’ our shit, stealin’ our stages. Copying our shit one-to-one.”

Although Kanye could have been referring to any number of other artists, it’s worth considering that it might not have been merely a coincidence that he chose to address the issue while in Canada — Drake’s home country — and Drake has also been using a floating stage on his Summer Sixteen tour recently.

If the diss is indeed aimed at Drizzy, it’ll be interesting to see what affect this has on the album that they’re supposedly collaborating on.
