Diplo And Flo Rida Beef Over New Worst Song Ever (Feat. Pitbull)

We felt pretty despondent about the future of music after witnessing Flo Rida and Pitbull‘s Can’t Believe It, a tremendously awful song about butts with a tremendously awful video to match (below).

But apparently we weren’t as sad as Diplo, who has actually engaged in a Twitter beef about this new contender for Worst Song Ever (sorry, Ronnie Radke).

Diplo, who’s also the dude behind Major Lazer, is butthurt about the film clip, which he claims rips off the video for his track Butter’s Theme. Both clips star a veritable buffet of arse, but Diplo thinks Flo’s butt smorgasbord is a direct copy of his, taking to Twitter for a rant and even changing his name to ‘diplo-rida’:

“I’m goin’ to toilet paper the trees in front of Flo Rida’s mansion. If you want u can ride or die with me. Also bring eggs. I’ll totally fight Flo Rida in a street fight and totally get my ass whooped. But I’ll fight anyway cuz I’ll fight for what I believe in.”

But Flo Rida seems to be more amused than bummed out by the squabble. He hit back after being asked by MTV’s Rap Fix Live what he thought about Diplo’s tirade and threat to hit up his mansion:

“[The] only thing stands out in that is the fact that I thank God I can afford a mansion. I haven’t even seen the [‘Butter’s Theme’] video, but shout out to Sir Mix-A-Lot, 2 Live Crew who definitely inspired my video.”

Burn. To add insult to injury, the Low rapper added, “For someone like him, I just wish him the best of luck on his career.”

Flo Rida’s no stranger to rip offs, having ripped off punters at last year’s Fat As Butter festival after a last-minute no show. Diplo will be bringing his Major Lazer show to Australia for next year’s Big Day Out.
